2026 coffee keynote speaker announced

Kathrine Löfberg, the chair of the board of Löfbergs, one of the largest family-owned coffee roasters in the Nordic countries, is named at the Coffee Keynote Speaker at this year’s Women in Tea & Coffee Conference.

Kathrine has coffee in her veins. Löfbergswas founded in 1906 in Sweden by her great-grandfather, and Kathrine has been responsible for establishing the company in Norway. he has also served as marketing manager and director of communications, overseeing the group’s brands. In 2015, she succeeded her father as chair of the board as part of a planned generational transition.

Kathrine Löfberg studied economics at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, as well as communication and marketing at Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm. She has worked in financial trading at Handelsbanken in Sweden and Luxembourg, and was also a project manager at Icon Medialab before joining Löfbergs in 1999.

She has served on the boards of many different companies. On the boards of International Coffee Partners (chair between 2016 and 2023), coffee&climate (chair since 2022) and the Löfberg Family Foundation, her strong interest in sustainability and her commitment to people and the environment truly come into play. Much of her work focuses on strengthening the opportunities for small-scale coffee farmers to meet the challenges of climate change and improve their living conditions.

Kathrine Löfberg’s favourite coffee is Ethiopian Sidamo, a speciality coffee with elegant spiciness, fresh acidity, and intense citrus notes.
